However, Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, the founder of Buddhism in our world, challenge our common sense with his idea of no-self Anatta. When Siddhartha turned 16 years old, his father found a woman for him to marry. After seven days of giving birth to Siddhartha his mother died however, a holy man was to have said that one of two great things would come of the newborn; he would grow up to become a great king or military leader or he would be a great spiritual leader.
The Queen's name was Maya. During the fifth or sixth week, he was beset by heavy rains while meditating but was protected by the hood of the serpent king Muchilinda Siddhartha Gautama, or the Buddha renounced his life of riches to seek enlightenment and along the way created the guidelines to a very popular worldwide religion called Buddhism Although he was much older before receiving the title, Buddha, I will refer to him as such throughout my report.
I chose to report on this subject because I find the life and teachings of Buddha to be very interesting.
Next, Buddha instructed his followers to follow the Middle Path and condemned extreme behavior, giving them a set of rules called the Eightfold Noble Path as a guide.
